Erie is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Erie follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

McGarrey's has been a family-owned local staple since 1978, and the Reuben is very much part of its identity. This feels like a neighborhood restaurant where people come because they know the food, know the staff, and probably don't need a menu after visiting for 20 years. The portions are generous, the staff know what they're doing, and the guy sitting at the next table might have been ordering the same Reuben since 1987 πŸ˜‚.

Absolutely fantastic experience! The food was outstanding, especially the Reuben Pizza. Our server Taylor was the most friendly server we’ve ever had. This was definitely a hidden gem that we discovered that had a great impact on our family’s trip to Erie PA.

Great food! The bacon melt was so good but not enough bacon to warrant the name. Ham melt was more appropriate. My husband had the Ruben sandwich. He said it was delicious and made with corned beef not pastrami. πŸ˜‹ He also said the coffee was same quality as the food πŸ‘Œ

Great spot with a super friendly atmosphere! The menu is extensive, offering plenty of options regardless of what you’re in the mood for. It was 'seat yourself' when we arrived, though I noticed several tables held for reservations. It has a real 'neighborhood favorite' feel where everyone seems like a regular. Food came out quickly, portions were generous, and the service was excellent. We really enjoyed our time here!

Stopped in while traveling. Very busy, nice American food spot. Burger was good and properly cooked. Wife had the 2nd best Reuben sandwich she’s ever had. Wait staff was excellent and price was typical of this kind of restaurant @$30 for a couple.
